Overview/Description
The process of evaluating an employees performance is not always smooth: it takes time; it makes people nervous; and some see it as intrusive or confrontational. Thankfully, this is not the way things have to be when performance-based appraisals are employed. This simulation will test the concepts of the performance appraisal process as the learner uses the strategies and procedures that are designed to improve the quality of the organizations mission, values, and achievements. As the manager of a call center for High Gear Outfitters, a manufacturer of high-end outdoor gear, the learner will be assigned the task of seeing a PBA initiative through from introduction to implementation. The simulation is broken into three distinct scenarios. Each scenario will cover a selected segment of the PBA process, testing the learners knowledge and adaptability.
